Carlson Rezidor Hotel Group has added to its Asia Pacific pipeline, signing two new deals and opening three new hotels.

The properties are in popular and well-connected destinations in India, reinforcing its position as the leading international hotel group in the country.

At the same time, Carlson Rezidor also celebrates the growing presence of its Radisson Blu brand, with the opening of its first Radisson Blu hotel in Bangkok, right in the heart of Sukhumvit.

“Leveraging on our 2013 successes, the first four months of this year has shown strong successes in India and Thailand,” said Thorsten Kirschke, President, Asia Pacific, Carlson Rezidor Hotel Group.

“Next few months, we will continue to grow our hotel portfolio and strengthen our position in these emerging markets as well as in Indonesia and China

“Today, we have 95 operating hotels and by year end, we will have more than 100 hotels in operation across the Asia Pacific region,” he said.

New Deals
Country Inn and Suites By Carlson Aligarh Uttar Pradesh is a 70-key hotel close to Aligarh Railway Station, a major stop along the Delhi-Kolkata route. Aligarh is also an important business centre of Uttar Pradesh and famous for its lock industry brass hardware, sculptures and the Aligarh Muslim University. The hotel is owned by DAH Hotels Pvt Ltd and is expected to open in the second quarter of 2017.

Country Inn and Suites By Carlson Kharar is an 80-key hotel, located close to Chandigarh Railway Station and Chandigarh Airport, which has flights to major cities across India, where a new international terminal is under construction. The industrial hub of Mohali, the emerging pharmaceutical hub of Baddi and Chandigarh IT Park are also close by. The hotel is owned by Credo Hospitality Pvt Ltd and is expected to open in the first quarter of 2017.

New Hotel Openings
Radisson Blu Udaipur Palace Resort and Spa is a 240-key hotel, located on the banks of Fateh Sagar Lake in Ambamata, close to the city center and a short drive from the airport. Major attractions near the hotel include the City Palace, Udaipur Lake Palace and the shopping districts of Hathi Pol, Bada Bazaar, Chetak Circle and Palace Road. Radisson Blu Udaipur Palace Resort & Spa will be the first Radisson Blu hotel in Udaipur. The hotel is owned by Rockwood Hotels & Resorts Ltd and opened on 15 May 2014.

Radisson Blu Plaza Hotel Bangkok is a 290-key hotel, strategically located in Sukhumvit, a bustling district home to many offices, business headquarters and retail establishments. The hotel is a short stroll from Terminal 21 and The Emporium, and is well-connected by public transport. Radisson Blu Plaza Hotel Bangkok is Carlson Rezidor’s first Radisson Blu hotel in the city. The hotel is owned by G&P Asset Holding Company Limited.

Radisson Hyderabad Hitec City is a 202-room hotel, located in Gachibowli, near the Hyderabad International Convention Centre and Hitec City. The hotel is also close to shopping malls, popular attractions such as the Charminar monument and Salar Jung Museum, as well as the South Central Railway station and Rajiv Gandhi International Airport. The hotel is owned by G. Yoganand, CMD, Manjeera Group, under the banner of Manjeera Hotels & Resorts Private Limited and will be managed by Sarovar Hotels Private Limited.

Park Plaza Zirakpur is a 100-key hotel located on Ambala National Highway 21 in Chandigarh. It is adjacent to major shopping malls and multiplexes. The hotel is also close to the industrial areas of Panchkula, as well as Panchkula Golf Course and Chandigarh Golf Course. The Chandigarh Railway Station and Mohali Railway Station are close by, and so is Chandigarh Airport, which is earmarked for expansion. The hotel is owned by Bristol Tourist Complex, Zirakpur District, Mohali.
