Crowne Plaza Hunter Valley Tourism Lunch - EDITED

Development of the Hunter Region’s soon-to-open largest conference and events facility at Crowne Plaza Hunter Valley is well under way.

Due for completion in late 2014 the 1,000 person, two room Conference and Events Centre, developed by Dr Jerry Schwartz, will provide visitors with a state-of-the-art facility, and access to Crowne Plaza Hunter Valley’s myriad of dining and leisure offerings, all in the picturesque Hunter Valley surrounds.

In exciting news, the Crowne Plaza Hunter Valley Conference and Events Centre has secured its first booking with the renowned Rotary Foundation of Australia, for Rotary District 9685’s ‘Light up Rotary’ conference in March 2015.

Light up Rotary will see up to 800 delegates experience inspiring speakers, performers and work from Rotary groups around Australia. In their downtime guests will enjoy a range of activities at the hotel and in the Hunter region including golf, wine tasting and cooking classes. A ‘Roaring 20s’ themed night is planned for the conference where guests will swing along to music from the decade of decadence.

With development of the Centre progressing, Crowne Plaza Hunter Valley recently hosted a lunch with key ministers and tourism stakeholders to discuss opportunities for regional tourism.

In attendance (and pictured above) was George Souris, Member for Upper Hunter; Gladys Berejiklian, Minister for Transport and Minister for the Hunter; Carol Giuseppi, Tourism Accommodation Australia NSW Director; and Robert Coates, General Manager, Crowne Plaza Hunter Valley.

The group discussed the new development and shared insights into the tourism and employment opportunities that the Conference and Events Centre will provide to the region.
