Le Club Accor Hotels 15 millionth loyalty member - EDITED

Adelaide local and newlywed, Alexander Kromwyk, has just returned from his European honeymoon and is set to re-pack his suitcase for a second honeymoon after becoming the 15 millionth Le Club Accorhotels loyalty program member.

Accor hotel’s global loyalty program, Le Club Accorhotels, is the fastest growing hotel loyalty program in Australia and now boasts over 15 million members globally. The program is designed to reward the Accor’s most loyal customers at over 2,700 hotels around the world, from luxury to economy.

Australians are the most loyal to the Group’s hotel loyalty program, out of any other country where Accor operates, with one in six Australian’s over the age of 18 members of Le Club Accorhotels and numbers on the rise each day.

Chief Operating Officer, Accor Pacific, Simon McGrath, said, “Research into our loyalty base has told us that more than one third of our guests choose to stay at an Accor hotel because they are a Le Club Accorhotels member.

“Loyalty travellers not only want to feel special and that they belong, but many take extra trips to rack up miles or grow their member tier status,” he said.

“Members tend to book through our direct channels rather than third party online travel agent websites to build up their points and receive a number of exclusive privileges including free Wi-Fi, priority check-in, late check-out, upgrades and club lounge access.

“We are thrilled that the 15 millionth loyalty member for Accor globally has been recognised and rewarded in Australia and we will continue to keep our Le Club Accorhotels members at the centre of our business,” McGrath said.

Kromwyk joined Le Club Accorhotels on a recent stay at Citigate Melbourne whilst travelling to finalise some wedding planning.

He became the 15 millionth loyalty member after his eligible stay was automatically registered into the program’s global member operation to celebrate this major milestone.

His newfound loyalty to Accor has won Kromwyk a consecutive seven-day, six-night stay for two people at any Accor hotel of his choice worldwide, including breakfasts and round-trip air travel up to a maximum value of AUD$8,500.

Kromwyk has until 31 July 2015 to take the trip as per the terms and conditions, so Alexander and his wife will be enjoying their second honeymoon of a lifetime within a matter of months.

On receiving the news while on honeymoon in Greece, Kromwyk said, “I was thrilled to receive such news having never won a prize like this before. It’s really exciting to be rewarded for my new loyalty to Accor hotels and my wife and I look forward to choosing our next holiday destination – London would be amazing or even a ski trip to New Zealand, I’ll just have to speak to my boss about receiving more time off work.”

Le Club Accorhotels is available with 13 hotel brands from economy to luxury in 2,700 hotels in 92 countries. For more information visit, accorhotels.com
