SHAPE Australia

Leading fit-out and refurbishment company ISIS Group Australia has re-branded as Shape Australia after a tough 12 months for the company that saw signage taken down from building sites, logos removed from uniforms and a challenging marketing environment on the back of the terror group with the same name in the Middle East.

The new brand was unveiled to the hotel industry at today’s (Oct 28) Design Inn Symposium at Shangri-La Hotel Sydney, hosted by Shape and HM, by Shape Australia’s CEO Michael Barnes, with hoteliers, architects and suppliers alike in attendance applauding the move.

“It is with great pride that I announce ISIS Group Australia has rebranded to Shape Australia,” Barnes said.

“Changing the name was a difficult decision that was made after months of engaging with our employees and external stakeholders.

“Whilst our business has continued to improve in FY15, the decision to change came down to what’s in the best interest of the people involved with our business.

“Ensuring everyone feels safe, connected and proud of working with us is essential.

“The meaning of the word ISIS has changed and therefore we have changed to ensure our name is aligned with our company values.

“So what does this mean? Put simply, it’s the same company with a new name.

“Our service offering remains the same. We are focused on providing the best possible project experience, on time and defect free delivery, and a great place for our employees to work.

“Shape embodies what we stand for and pays tribute to the evolution of our business and our role in shaping Australia’s fitout and refurbishment space.

“After 26 years of transforming property, we continue to Shape workspaces and the project journey for our stakeholders, as well as bringing Shape to wonderful visions and designs.

“I would like to thank all of our client, consultant and subcontractor partners for your support over the past year,” Barnes said.
