Radisson on Flagstaff Gardens Melbourne has achieved Gold Certification in EarthCheck and won a place on the Star Ratings Gold Top Ten list for Melbourne accommodation properties.

The hotel’s general manager, Steve Finlayson, said the achievements spotlighted two very different aspects of the hotel’s operations – environmental management and customer service.

“Much of the environment criteria is back-of-house, so guests, largely, would be unaware of them, but the ratings criteria accounts for guest opinions on service, room quality, cleanliness, location and value,” he said.

“Either way, they’re recognition of the work our staff is doing in the field of planning, training, operations, standards and customer service.

“As an upscale hotel, these are the performance levels we aspire to, and must maintain,” he said.

EarthCheck’s Gold Certificate recognises environmental best practice policies in the travel and tourism industry.

The hotel’s Gold Star Rating is for Top Ten Melbourne category which covers hotel, motel, serviced apartment and self-catering properties.
