Four Points by Sheraton Parramatta rendering horizontal

Starwood Hotels and Resorts has signed an agreement with Sydney-based developer, JL Parramatta Pty Ltd to manage the Four Points by Sheraton Parramatta.

The new-build property will be located at 89 George Street in Parramatta’s Central Business District, will feature 271 rooms and is scheduled to open in 2018.

“We continue to grow the presence of the Four Points by Sheraton brand in Australia with like-minded partners JL Parramatta sharing our vision to develop affordable, stylish and innovative hotel options,” said Sean Hunt, Regional Vice President, Starwood Hotels and Resorts, Pacific.

Hunt previously flagged the signing with HM in an exclusive video interview published on June 24.

“With the current growth and development in Parramatta, Sydney’s second largest work district, the location was a natural choice for our next Four Points by Sheraton hotel,” he said.

“The brand’s strong Pacific presence, which includes hotels in Sydney, Perth and Brisbane and a new flagship property in Melbourne, opening in 2017, is reflective of its growth globally, with Four Points leading pipeline development in Starwood’s portfolio.”

Four Points by Sheraton Parramatta will be a short walk from Parramatta Station, the Parramatta River and Westfield Parramatta, the second largest shopping complex in Australia.

Four Points by Sheraton Parramatta will feature 271 guest rooms, a bar and lobby lounge with snack kiosk, a restaurant, an indoor swimming pool, a fitness centre, and convenient parking facilities.

The hotel’s conference and meeting facilities is slated to be among the largest available in Parramatta at 500 square metres.

Reflecting the brand’s promise to provide “what matters most to today’s independent travellers”, the hotel will offer the brand’s defining touches, including the Four Points signature bed, WiFi in all public areas, an energising breakfast and the brand’s signature Best Brews programme, helping guests to enjoy their day from start to finish.

Four Points by Sheraton Parramatta joins Starwood’s robust portfolio in the Pacific with 17 hotels in operation, including Four Points by Sheraton properties in Sydney, Brisbane and Perth. The hotel also joins eleven properties under development namely Four Points by Sheraton Sydney, Central Park, Four Points by Sheraton Melbourne Docklands, Sheraton Samoa Aggie Grey’s Hotel & Bungalows, Aloft Perth Rivervale, The Westin Perth, Aloft Adelaide, Sheraton Adelaide Hotel, The Westin Brisbane, and W Brisbane.
