TravMedia has appointed highly experienced communications professional Nicolette Mewing as Regional Manager Asia, based in Hong Kong.

A seasoned travel publicist, Nicolette brings over eight years of PR and media communications experience across the lifestyle and tourism sectors to her new role. With a proven track record across government tourism bodies and multinational leisure tourism brands, Nicolette will drive engagement across the TravMedia Asia digital platform and social networking tools, as well as leading TravMedia’s highly anticipated industry event, IMM Asia 2017.

Formerly Senior Account Manager at GHC Asia, Nicolette was instrumental in leading the announcement of Hong Kong’s newest five star luxury hotel ‘The Murray, A Niccolo Hotel’.

Prior to her relocation to Hong Kong, Nicolette held a number of senior public relations and communications positions in Australia; most notably leading the Public Relations and Social Media direction at Tourism NT and Tourism Whitsundays, as well as driving communications strategies for multinational leisure tourism brands such as Marine Tourism Management Ltd.

Highlights of her extensive career include coordinating the Australian Society of Travel Writers Annual General Meeting at Uluru in 2015 as host destination, spearheading the successful ambassadorial campaign ‘Mates of the Territory’, driving the launch of the industry first ‘Million Dollar Fish’ campaign; along with an amplified stream of integrated editorial and broadcast tourism campaigns.

Mewing completed a Bachelor of Communications, at Griffith University in 2011, majoring in Public Relations.
