Rydges Geelong was involved in a mass charity drive last weekend, as they donated 230 beds, 800 pillows and 200 duvets to Geelong St Vincent de Paul.

To assist in the installation and removal of the beds, the hotel also donated $10,000 to the Geelong Cricket Club who offered 25 volunteers to be on site to help.

After being sent to St Vincent de Paul’s new processing center, the beds and linen will soon be distributed to households in the Geelong area.

Rydges Geelong General Manager, Jeremy Black, said the hotel is proud to be supporting the tight knit Geelong community.

“Geelong is very much community focused and big on doing business locally. Being a new hotel, we really want to support the local community, clubs and those in need,” he said.

After purchasing the Mercure Geelong earlier this year, Rydges Geelong has invested in new Rydges Dream Beds and linen as part of the hotel’s extensive revitalization.

All 138 rooms, suites and apartments will now feature the Dream Beds.
