On May 1, 2011 the intimate, boutique style, five-star Radisson Plaza Hotel Sydney will be renamed Radisson Blu Plaza Hotel Sydney.
The change is in part focused on establishing brand clarity in Asia Pacific, where all future Radisson hotels will be Radisson Blu hotels and aligns with Europe, the Middle East and Africa where Radisson Blu represents a highly successful, award-winning brand with over 200 hotels and resorts in its portfolio.
Radisson Blu is a first-class full-service hotel brand that focuses on design and leading edge style. Iconic buildings with individual interiors invoke an inviting, exciting ambiance and offer a vibrant, contemporary and engaging hospitality experience, with a unique “Yes I Can!” service philosophy, a 100% Guest Satisfaction proposition and a series of innovative service concepts focused on the guest experience.
The opening of Radisson Blu Hotel Cebu, Philippines in September 2010 marked the entry of Radisson Blu in Asia Pacific.
“We are delighted to be the first hotel in the Australia/Pacific region to transition,” said Peter Tudehope, General Manager. “This is an exciting time for the brand. Unifying the brand strengthens our position on a global scale and heralds the way for the continued growth of the portfolio. Here at Radisson Blu Plaza Hotel Sydney we remain committed to being one of the most desirable five-star hotels in the city.”
As part of the transition a number of touch points change including the hotel logo, signage, brochures and the like along with the launch of a new website www.radissonblu.com/plazahotel-sydney
