Emirates is set to complete the roll-out of consistent in-flight products across all of its Australian flights by October 31, following an upgrade to one of the daily Melbourne flights.
The upgrade to flights EK408/409, which finishes just in time for the Emirates Melbourne Cup, will see all Emirates’ flights between Australia, Asia, New Zealand and Dubai, boasting luxurious Private Suites in First Class, fully lie-flat beds in Business Class, and comfortable Economy Class seating.
“The ability to say to customers across all classes that no matter which Emirates flight they book from Australia they will receive the same premium product options, is a strong proposition and one that we look forward to promoting,” said Emirates Vice President Australasia, Barry Brown.
“Emirates’ Private Suites in First Class, fully lie-flat beds in Business Class and comfortable seating in Economy, firmly positions the airline at the forefront of the air travel market for in-flight product, and perfectly complements the airline’s renowned onboard hospitality.
“As some carriers are looking to scale back their services, Emirates remains committed to continually building value into passengers’ flying experiences, and remains focused on its full-service proposition,” Brown said.
Emirates flight EK408/409 is operated by a Boeing 777-300ER aircraft and flies daily between Melbourne and Dubai via Kuala Lumpur.
Following its upgrade, the EK408/409 service will feature 8 luxurious Emirates Private Suites in First Class and 42 Business Class life-flat seats. The same or similar product feature on Emirates flights nationally with variations by aircraft type.
All Emirates’ passengers enjoy complimentary gourmet food and beverage service; a cutting-edge in-flight entertainment system with up to 1200 channels of entertainment; and generous luggage allowances in all classes.
