Blue Mountains International Hotel Management School (BMIHMS) has been ranked the number one school in the Asia Pacific and Australasia region for preparing students for an international career in hospitality management.
The rankings are the result of a survey of senior managers from top international hospitality companies around the world, conducted by industry market research firm Taylor Nelson Sofres (TNS), the world’s largest provider of custom research and analysis.
“We are very pleased with the results of this survey, which speaks loudly about the quality of our academic programs and the strength of our graduates,” said Guy Bentley, CEO of BMIHMS.
“We are providing the industry with passionate professionals who possess managerial and service-oriented skills second to none.
“As the industry continues to grow and Asia Pacific becomes not only a center for business and travel growth, but also a source of tourists to the rest of the world, BMIHMS creates opportunities for students to become industry leaders and shape the way hospitality is evolving in the region and abroad.”
The curriculum at BMIHMS combines academic business management studies with practical learning within simulated hotel environments.
This survey was conducted in May and June 2013 to establish the relative ranking of the various hospitality management schools in Asia Pacific and Australasia from which international hospitality companies are likely to recruit staff. An online survey was delivered to more than 50,000 hospitality managers working in more than 80 countries.
