The original stables at Mount Lofty House, built in 1862, have been lovingly restored and converted into a day spa.
Mount Lofty House’s general manager Craig Dodd said, “Spa is such an essential part of the travel experience. It therefore has been the perfect addition to Mount Lofty House which is a destination in itself and once guests check in, they rarely leave. We are pleased to work with Waterlily; their products combine botanical ingredients reminiscent of the neighbouring Mount Lofty Botanical Gardens which once formed part of the original estate.”
Mount Lofty House has 33 rooms and suites with eight rooms in the original heritage wing and 25 rooms in the Piccadilly wing. Additionally, the adjacent self-contained and individually designed Piccadilly Cottage accommodates up to ten guests, the Coachman’s Cottage sleeps up to eight guests and the Gate Keepers Cottage accommodating up to eight guests.
Guests have access to twelve acres of gardens and the hotel’s own Chardonnay and Pinot vineyards, 22 acres of surrounding bushland, outdoor swimming pool, billiards and snooker room, volleyball court, flood lit tennis court, guest library with refreshments served throughout the day and heritage balcony with views across the Piccadilly Valley.
The Piccadilly Restaurant is open seven days a week for breakfast and dinner with the menu showcasing the very best of local seasonal produce. The wine list focuses on the world class wineries of the Adelaide Hills region.
The onsite venues cater for groups of up to 300 guests.
Just 15 minutes from Adelaide city, Mount Lofty House is located at 74 Mt Lofty Summit Rd, Crafers SA.
