In line with Crown Resorts’ interstate expansion, the management team has restructured to create greater synergies between Crown properties across the country.
“This restructure of management will ensure Crown Resorts is presenting a consistent brand message across both Melbourne and Perth markets, and will be able to utilise the skill sets of both Shaun and Andrew with the upcoming milestones of Crown Towers, Perth and the new Queensbridge Street development to Crown Melbourne,” Crinis said.
Crown Perth’s current General Manager of Hotels, Shaun D’Cruz, will commence a new Melbourne role as General Manager – Crown Towers Melbourne from July 1, 2015.
This managerial shift will utilise Shaun’s expertise in operational transitions and hotel branding, highlighted through his leadership of Crown Metropol and Promenade Perth.
In his new Melbourne position, Shaun will also have responsibilities surrounding the operational planning of Crown Resorts’ latest venture, the expansion of the Crown Melbourne precinct with a proposed five star hotel on Queensbridge Street.
To further streamline Crown’s world class offerings across Australia, Peter Crinis, Chief Operating Officer – Hotels, Retail and Food and Beverage (Melbourne) has been appointed as head of the Crown Hotels brand, with a management role covering all properties in Melbourne and Perth.
Andrew Cairns – General Manager Crown Towers Melbourne will relocate to Crown Perth, where he will bring his hospitality skills and experience to Crown Metropol Perth, Crown Promenade Perth and also be responsible for operational planning of Crown Towers Perth which is scheduled to open next year.
From June 1, 2015 Andrew will commence as Executive General Manager – Crown Hotels Perth, and be responsible for all three Perth hotels.
