Qantas has announced it will meet increasing demand from Australians travelling to Bali with new seasonal services to operate direct from Sydney.
During December this year and January next year, Qantas will operate four services per week, a total of 33 return services, between Sydney and Bali with its B737 aircraft.
This adds to Jetstar’s 65 services per week from Australia and will see the Qantas Group operate a total of 603 services over the upcoming peak travel season to one of the most popular overseas holiday destinations for Australians.
Qantas International CEO, Gareth Evans, said the airline was pleased to expand its offering to customers wanting a full service, premium travel option direct to Bali.
“We know how attractive Bali is as a holiday destination, so through efficient use of our aircraft, we’ve unlocked more domestic B737 flying time, delivering on our strategy to offer a dynamic and flexible network,” he said.
“It means we can give customers more choice and cater for the spikes in demand we see over the summer peak.”
On the new seasonal services, our customers will enjoy Qantas’ renowned service, a checked baggage allowance, inflight entertainment and food and beverage, all included as part of the fare.
Economy customers will experience the new economy dining experience with more choice and faster service. A Rockpool designed menu served on Marc Newson tableware and Kate and Jack Spade amenity kits with Aurora Spa ASPAR products will be offered in Business.
The Bali services follow last week’s announcement that Qantas would add more flights to Hong Kong and Manila, and operate 140 additional international services to Singapore, Jakarta and New Zealand to cater for peak season demand.
Qantas’ new seasonal Bali services will operate on Tuesdays, Wednesdays, Fridays and Sundays from 4 December 2015 to 29 January 2016, inclusive. Fares start from $733 return.
Qantas has also today announced its fourth season of services to Vancouver to operate from late June through to August 2016. A total of 20 return services will operate with Qantas’ refurbished B747 aircraft three days per week– Mondays, Thursdays and Saturdays – from 30 June to 13 August 2016, an additional seven services from the same period this year.
