Twelve luxury canvas tents have been added to the accommodation range available at Discovery Parks – Barossa, nestled in the popular South Australian wine region around 90 minutes from Adelaide.
The property’s new ‘glamping’ offering sees the tents positioned among gum trees and offering views of the vineyard. Guests can take advantage of exclusive facilities including a shared private swimming pool, heated spa, BBQ area and outdoor lounge.
Each of the tents feature a sizeable bedroom with ensuite and either a king bed or twin beds, a three-metre deck at the front, kitchenette and ensuite bathroom. The tents have been designed by EcoStructures Australia and are wind tolerant up to a Category 5 cyclone.
Discovery Parks Chief Executive Grant Wilckens said it was no surprise safari tent accommodation experiences had become so popular.
“This is a first for the Barossa Valley, and has been modelled off the success of our Byron Bay property. Later this year we will be taking eco-resorts to the next level with the launch of 83 tents on Rottnest Island. Though, you will be hard pressed to find a glamping location that has as much to offer your tastebuds than the Barossa.”
