Developing new dining concepts and fine-tuning existing eateries has been outlined in the remit given to Vincent Lombino, who has this week commenced in a new role as Group Director F&B at Ovolo Hotels, the company has announced.
All restaurant and bar concepts at the rapidly growing network – both at Ovolo brand hotels and the Mojo Nomad micro-hotel group – will fall under the responsibility of Lombino. Among his first projects will be launching new dining ventures at the recently opened Ovolo The Valley, Brisbane and developing concepts for Ovolo’s forthcoming management agreement in South Melbourne.
The new Group Director will work closely with the group’s high-profile chefs Justin North, Ian Curley and Hetty McKinnon to develop unique food and beverage menus reflective of the Ovolo personality and style.
Lombino brings over 25 years’ experience in F&B to his new role with organisations including Seattle’s Noble House Hotels, Urban Purveyor Group and in a similar role with Event Hospitality, where he developed food and beverage concepts with QT Hotels and Event Cinemas.
Commenting on his new role, Lombino said he had been watching the growth of Ovolo for some time and was excited to be a part of its progress.
“I love the direction Ovolo is moving in and their passion in elevating the Food & Beverage experiences across the group.”
