TFE Hotels will open a new Travelodge branded hotel as a prominent feature within the new multi-million dollar West Grove Health and Innovation development at Westmead, in Sydney’s western suburbs.
In conjunction with Drill Management, Travelodge Westmead will include 100 rooms aimed at servicing the nearby Westmead Hospital and associated medical practices along with the corporate sector both surrounding the hospital precinct and in nearby Parramatta.
Designed by interior design firm, Chada, rooms will reflect a contemporary timber environment. The lobby will sit on the sixth floor, with guest facilities including a restaurant and bar.
TFE Hotels Chief Executive Officer, Antony Ritch, said he was excited to be able to introduce the Travelodge brand into what will become Australia’s largest health precinct.
“Not only will the Travelodge Westmead debut a fresh new interior design with warm timber and earthy tones,” he said.
“But, in partnership with the West Grove development, it will deliver long-term benefits as the thriving Westmead community continues to grow.”
Ritch added the hotel will provide a comfortable midscale accommodation option for patients and their families when they need to remain close by.
Construction on Travelodge Westmead is due to begin next year, with a view to opening in 2023.
