Crown Sydney is now welcoming guests to its new day spa, with the property touting the new facility as “wellness and indulgence” on a new level.
Located on the sixth floor at the brand’s Barangaroo location, the spa has been designed by Blainey North and takes its inspiration from the adjacent Sydney Harbour, reflected in its interior design and décor. The facility is complemented by the hotel’s existing fitness centre and lap pool one level below.
The facility features products from La Prairie and Subtle Energies and features calming translucent resin walls. It is the first spa facility in Australia to offer specialist Quartz Hot-Sand Therapy and Touchless Spa Wave Therapy among its menu of treatments.
Guests can access services in two Relaxation Rooms, 11 treatment rooms including Crown Spa signature Indulgence Suites, two vitality pools, two experience showers, two infrared saunas, two steam rooms, three manicure and pedicure stations and a yoga and meditation area.
“From the moment guests enter the spa, each element of design down to the smallest details in lighting, vaulted ceilings and backlit features has been curated to create a bespoke and intimate experience,” said North.
“We worked with a number of artists across the world to achieve this, including a tailor in New York, who hand-painted silver leaf wallpaper, and Sydney-based surfboard shaping pioneer, Hayden Cox.”
Crown Spa Sydney Manager, Melissa Vitalis, said this world class standard was at the heart of the spa.
“Crown Spa Sydney is unlike any spa I have experienced in the country. We needed it to be next level in terms of treatments, in terms of service and in terms of aesthetic experience.”
