Parkroyal announces two Sydney appointments
Pan Pacific Hotels Group has appointed Jeroen Meijer to the role of Cluster General Manager, Sydney, overseeing Parkroyal Darling Harbour, Sydney and Parkroyal Parramatta.
Meijer’s promotion follows a five-year tenure with the Parkroyal brand, which he joined in 2017 as Hotel Manager Parkroyal Darling Harbour, Sydney, before moving into the General Manager role in 2019.
“As one of the leading hotels in Western Sydney, Parkroyal Parramatta has played a fundamental role within the community,” said Meijer.
“I’m excited about this additional opportunity within Greater Sydney to continue nurturing relationships and building local partnerships, as the city continues to grow.”
During his career in hospitality, Meijer worked at Pan Pacific Melbourne, Hilton Melbourne South Wharf, and he was a board member of Tourism Accommodation Australia.
Parkroyal also announced the promotion of Hans Joachim from the position of Director of Operations at Parkroyal Parramatta to Hotel Manager.
Having worked at the hotel in various roles for nearly 20 years, this role will see Joachim lead the day-to-day operations of the hotel and support Meijer as Cluster General Manager, Sydney.
Pan Pacific Perth names new GM
Pan Pacific Perth has welcomed Paul Flett as General Manager.
Flett, who relocated to Perth from Sydney to lead the luxury hotel, brings over 30 years of hospitality experience, 10 of which have been spent with Pan Pacific Hotels Group across Australia and South Asia.
“Since my first visit to Perth in 2013 this iconic hotel has long been a drawcard to Western Australia, and the opportunity to take the reins was too good to pass up,” Flett said.
“I look forward to working with my team and the community of Perth to ensure the hotel and the hospitality industry in WA continues to thrive.”
His most recent role was General Manager at Parkroyal Parramatta which followed a two-year appointment at Pan Pacific Sonargaon Dhaka. He also previously worked as General Manager at Parkroyal Darling Harbour and has held senior positions for InterContinental Hotels Group across the Northern Territory and Queensland.

Outrigger bolsters senior leadership team
Outrigger Hospitality Group has announced four key senior-level appointments to support its long-term growth strategy.
Mike Shaff, who first joined Outrigger in 2017 as Vice President Operations for Waikīkī, will lead both the hotels and resorts operations for The Americas region as Senior Vice President Operations, The America.
Jenna Villalobos has been named Senior Vice President Commercial Strategy, covering both corporate and property.
She joined Outrigger in 2017 as Vice President, Revenue Management overseeing all Outrigger’s properties in Hawai‘i, Fiji, Thailand, Mauritius and Maldives. She brings 25 years’ experience in total revenue management and reservation sales.
Tony Pedroni will direct all hotel operations in the Asia Pacific region in his new role as Vice President Operations – APAC. Pedronifirst joined Outrigger in 2013 as general manager of the then Outrigger Laguna Phuket Beach Resort.
He has had an extensive global hospitality career working for the likes of JW Marriott, the Renaissance in South Korea and the Waiohai Beach Club a Marriott Vacation Club Resort in Hawai‘i.
Jason Zvatora takes the position of Vice President Commercial Strategy – APAC, returning to Outrigger after a short break as Chief Operating Officer at Next Story Group.
Zvatora, who has close to 20 years of operational and commercial leadership experience, will continue to be based in Australia. He will drive top-line revenue strategies and direct the property commercial teams.
