Crystalbrook Collection has announced the appointment of three new General Managers across the group, spanning properties in Queensland and New South Wales.
Carl Taranto – most recently General Manager of Crystalbrook Kingsley in Newcastle – has been promoted to the role of Area General Manager of Crystalbrook Vincent, Brisbane and Crystalbrook Byron, Byron Bay, taking up the role in January 2023.
Since joining the group in 2018 as Director of Rooms at Crystalbrook Riley in Cairns, Taranto has served as General Manager of Cairns’ Crystalbrook Bailey, and as General Manager of Crystalbrook Kingsley.
An accomplished hotelier with over 20 years’ industry experience prior to joining Crystalbrook, Taranto has held leadership roles across luxury hotel groups including Marriott and Sofitel.
Josquin Crepelliere takes over Taranto’s role as General Manager of Crystalbrook Kingsley, Newcastle, having commenced the position in late 2022.
Originally from France, Crepelliere brings over 13 years’ experience in hospitality roles across the globe, and more recently within luxury Sydney hotels, including Sheraton Grand Sydney Hyde Park, Pier One Sydney Harbour, and Sydney Harbour Marriott Circular Quay.
Meanwhile, Emma Alcorn has been appointed General Manager of Crystalbrook Byron, Byron Bay, relocating from Sydney’s Crystalbrook Albion where she has been General Manager since 2021.
Alcorn has spent more than a decade working in management roles at prestigious hotels and resorts, including One and Only Wolgan Valley and Spicers Tamarind Retreat and Spa, bringing a deep understanding of the luxury and boutique market. She commenced the role this month.
