Experienced hotelier Craig Bond has taken up a new role of Senior Vice President – Head of Operations at Pan Pacific Hotels Group (PPHG), marking his return to the group after almost eight years.
Bond joins from La Vie Hotels and Resorts, where he spent the last two years as Managing Director, growing operations across Australia, Bangladesh, Cambodia, Maldives, Sri Lanka, Thailand, Ukraine and Vietnam.
“I have been impressed to watch the evolution of PPHG unfold over the past few years and I am thrilled to be back in the fold,” Bond said.
“My new position will enable me to work closely with the teams to cement our positioning as we continue expanding throughout 2024 and beyond.”
Prior to La Vie, Bond was Executive Vice President – COO at Onyx Hospitality Group and earlier in his career he held positions across Pan Pacific Hotels Group, as well as Mirvac Hotels and Resorts, and Radisson Hotels and Resorts.
His appointment comes as PPHG prepares for several key openings, including Parkroyal Serviced Suites Jakarta, Parkroyal A’Famosa Melaka Resort, and Pan Pacific Jakarta in H1 2024.
In this new role, Bond will focus on driving operational excellence by establishing strategic routes to meet commercial and organisational objectives.
Thanks to his global experience, Bond brings a deep and valuable understanding of cultural nuances, enabling him to drive “consistent excellence” across the guest journey, according to PPHG.
“As Pan Pacific Hotels Group continues to raise the bar in this new era of hospitality, which focuses on the evolving needs of the modern traveller, we are delighted to welcome Craig as an experienced member of our team,” said Pan Pacific Hotels Group Chief Executive Officer, Choe Peng Sum.
“His deep understanding of the hospitality sector, honed through years of experience across various international markets, make him an ideal addition to our executive leadership team at this exciting time for PPHG.”
