Accor is expanding Australia’s largest hotel brand, Mantra, in South Australia with the addition of a contemporary four-star hotel to its portfolio.
The new-build hotel, which opened earlier this year, will operate as Mantra Tonsley Adelaide under a franchise agreement between Accor, a local development company and 1834 Hotels.
“This strategic addition further solidifies our commitment to providing exceptional hospitality experiences across South Australia and in suburban hubs that see a high volume of corporate travellers,” said Accor Pacific CEO, Sarah Derry.
“We are excited to be working with the hotel owner, alongside the team at 1834 Hotels, and importantly, look forward to seeing guests to Mantra Tonsley Adelaide experience the world-renowned Accor hospitality.”
Situated in the Tonsley Innovation Precinct, a 12-minute drive south of Adelaide’s CBD, the hotel caters to both business and leisure travellers, with 88 rooms and apartments, a restaurant and bar, as well as two state-of-the-art conference rooms.
1834 Hotels CEO, Andrew Bullock, said the partnership with Accor will produce great outcomes for guests.
“Our collaboration, which encompasses the management of Mantra Tonsley Adelaide, has us looking positively to the future,” Bullock said.
“Accor’s extensive distribution network and brand awareness, coupled with 1834 management capabilities, will assist to create remarkable guest experiences.”
Mantra has achieved considerable success in the Australia market, growing to 75 properties across the country since its launch in 2007. While the brand has expanded internationally, its core market is domestic.
