Pan Pacific Hotels Group (PPHG) has opened its first hotel in Jakarta this month with the arrival of Parkroyal Serviced Suites Jakarta.
The 180-key property is situated within levels 73 to 82 of Luminary Tower – which stands at an impressive 304 metres across 95 levels – as part of integrated mixed-use development Thamrin Nine.
The apartment hotel offers a range of social lifestyle facilities, including a Residents Lounge, a 24/7 fully equipped gym and a swimming pool.
Pan Pacific Hotels Group Chief Executive Officer, Choe Peng Sum, sees great opportunity in the serviced apartment segment, particularly in this city.
“Serviced apartments in Jakarta demonstrated consistent growth in average occupancy rates during Q3 2023 and increments in average rates is expected with new inventory in the city,” said Choe Peng Sum.
“Globally, Pan Pacific and Parkroyal serviced suites achieved average occupancies of 75% in 2023, attributed to a substantial corporate clientele, and this asset class is on a growth trajectory.
“Jakarta’s gradual rebound in business travel, particularly in industries such as oil and gas, minerals, and finance, is expected to further propel the robust demand for serviced apartments.”
Designed by acclaimed architect Kohn Pedersen Fox Associates, Parkroyal Serviced Suites Jakarta celebrates local culture in its design.
Japan-based interior designer group, Kanko Kikaku Sekkeishakks (KKS), created a mix of modern Studios and One and Two-bedroom suites, with in-room amenities, separate living areas and bedrooms.
Each apartment features floor-to-ceiling windows offering panoramic views of the city.
PPHG said it has several more openings in the heart of Jakarta’s CBD planned throughout 2024.
