Hilton Sydney has launched Afternoon Tea at its dining venue Glass Brasserie for the first time.

Curated by Executive Chef Hamish Neale and his team of expert pastry chefs, the new Afternoon Tea menu puts a modern twist on the tradition with a selection of handcrafted specialty sweets and savoury items served alongside premium international teas and coffees sourced from Sri Lanka to Japan.

A cocktail trolley offers cocktails shaken and stirred tableside, and roaming Champagne service is also available, with alcohol at an additional cost.

“For centuries, afternoon tea has been a celebrated ritual across the world and remains a much-loved tradition today,” said Hilton Sydney General Manager, Malcolm Zancanaro.

“We have drawn on the key elements of the established ritual but have added a modern twist that lends itself to the contemporary style glass does best.

“Expect an elevated and sophisticated high tea experience bringing the ritual to the standards of today – we have done away with uninspiring cucumber sandwiches and instead have embraced the evolved palate of today with savoury delicacies that excite, delicate desserts that are as much a feast for the eyes and senses and a tea and beverage offering that brings an elevated experience in one of Sydney’s most enduring and timeless dining spaces.”

The restaurant will offer Afternoon Tea every Saturday and Sunday from 2pm – 4:30pm.
