Register for AHICE Aotearoa now.
With just two months to go until the two-day program gets underway on September 25 and 26 at Te Pae Christchurch Convention Centre, tickets are selling fast.
Taking place on the South Island for the first time, the 2024 AHICE Aotearoa will include a stellar line-up of speakers, insightful panel discussions and numerous networking opportunities.
Hosted by HM Magazine and Hotel Council Aotearoa, and attended by New Zealand’s leading hotel owners, operators, consultants, and suppliers, AHICE Aotearoa has experienced two hugely successful events in Auckland in 2022 and Wellington 2023.
It follows the continued success of the Asia Pacific event, which was held in Adelaide in May 2024 and attended by a record 1,503 delegates, making it the largest accommodation event in the Asia Pacific region, and the recent 2024 AHICE Fiji Islands Investment in Tourism Summit, which saw a bumper crowd of over 330 leading owners, investors, operators, suppliers and advisors.
Over 30 sponsors are already onboard for AHICE Aotearoa – headlined by Principal Partners Accor, EVT, IHG Hotels and Resorts and The Ascott Limited – alongside many of New Zealand’s leading hotel operators and suppliers.
“There has never been a major hotel conference held on New Zealand’s South Island and we are proud to be hosting AHICE Aotearoa in the beautiful city of Christchurch in September this year,” said AHICE Global President and Chair, James Wilkinson.
“At AHICE Aotearoa 2024, attendees can once more expect some evocative keynotes, world-class panels, data dumps, global speakers and all supported by New Zealand’s leading hotels, chains and suppliers.
“We will also be hosting several of our renowned networking events in both hotels and at some of the city’s leading arts venues.
“Over the coming weeks we will start revealing some fantastic global and local speakers and for now, it’s time to book your ticket to Christchurch.”
This year’s event will again include an exhibition, allowing suppliers the opportunity to pitch to New Zealand’s largest hotels in one place.
Hotel Council Aotearoa (HCA) Strategic Director, James Doolan, said HCA is excited to see the return of this important industry event and in the South Island for the first time.
“After hugely successful events in Auckland and Wellington, we’re delighted to now bring AHICE Aotearoa to the Mainland,” he said. “We’re looking forward to experiencing the wonderful Te Pae Christchurch Convention Centre first-hand.
“AHICE Aotearoa has quickly become a ‘must-do’ event on New Zealand’s tourism calendar, with high-calibre public and private sector speakers from offshore and home.
“For suppliers and sponsors, AHICE Aotearoa is the perfect opportunity to network with New Zealand’s leading hotel general managers, owners, brand companies, developers and investors.”
The full program for the 2024 AHICE Aotearoa will be announced soon.
