Wyndham Hotels and Resorts registered record growth across Asia Pacific during the first half of 2024, driven by the strong return of travel across the region.
Wyndham’s strong performance included a record number of signings in the region of more than 120 hotels, with 74 new hotels opened and 8% year-on-year net room growth, equivalent to 15,100 rooms.
“Across Asia Pacific, we have seen a strong growth momentum in the tourism sector in 2024, and our growth reflects our confidence as well as that of our business partners in the rising demand for travel,” said Wyndham Hotels and Resorts President, Asia Pacific, Joon Aun OOI.
“We remain focused on our Owner First philosophy, providing unparalleled support to help our owners succeed, and delivering incredible experiences to guests as we continue to grow across the region.”
In the first half of 2024, Wyndham saw a 22% increase in the number of hotels signed across Asia Pacific compared to 2023 driven by strong growth in Mainland China, where the company signed 104 hotels.
The newly upgraded Microtel by Wyndham made its debut in Mainland China in 2024 with a refreshed modern design focused on maximising space.
