Mercure Sydney has been named the Official Accommodation and Hotel Partner for the 2024 Sydney Fringe Festival, which runs throughout the month of September.
The 30-day multi-genre arts and performance festival, held across Sydney’s Central, Eastern, Inner West, and Greater Sydney precincts, features a variety of genres, including stand-up comedy, music, theatre, cabaret, visual arts and burlesque.
“We are delighted to work with Sydney Fringe Festival and to contribute to its success by providing excellent hospitality to festival attendees,” said Mercure Sydney General Manager, Ben Murphy.
“Sydney Fringe Festival is one of Australia’s most innovative and captivating celebrations of arts and culture. It is another great reason to visit the city during September.”
Through the partnership, Mercure Sydney will also offer a range of exclusive benefits, including access to show tickets and opportunities for corporate entertaining.
Sydney Fringe Festival CEO and Festival Director, Kerri Glasscock, said the festival is thrilled to partner with Mercure Sydney for the 2024 event.
“Both organisations are deeply committed to the development of our city’s cultural life and this partnership will amplify that commitment,” said Glasscock.
“We can’t wait to share their music with Sydney and look forward to celebrating in September.”
The hotel will also host an exclusive Accor Plus event on September 19, welcoming members of the leading hotel travel subscription programme in Asia Pacific for an acclaimed History of House performance at the Spiegeltent Festival Garden in the Entertainment Quarter. A celebration of dance music through the decades, the event will present a collaboration between DJ Groove Terminator and the Soweto Gospel Choir.
