A Start of Development (SOD) turning ceremony at Quest Southport

Construction has commenced on a AU$50 million Quest Apartment Hotels property in southeast Queensland, marking further expansion of the Quest brand across Australia.

The 90-key Quest Southport will stand at 10 storeys tall and feature a state-of-the-art gym and a rooftop pool.

The Ascott Limited said the Gold Coast build, which is managed by Westpoint Constructions and ADCO Constructions, will meet the highest standards of quality and excellence.

“This project underscores our commitment to expanding our footprint and providing exceptional hospitality experiences,” said The Ascott Limited Australasia Managing Director, David Mansfield.

“Quest Southport will not only contribute to the local economy but also set a new standard for luxury and convenience on the Gold Coast.

“Our goal remains to achieve significant growth targets under the ‘2030 growth strategy’, aiming to reach over 200 Quest properties and 30 managed hotels by the end of the decade.

“The construction of Quest Southport is a key step towards realising this vision, and we are excited about the opportunities it brings for our guests and the local community.”

The Ascott Limited Australia, General Manager, Growth and Capital Strategy, James Shields, revealedthe latest Quest property is one of several to commence construction this quarter.

“This development forms an integral part of our expansion strategy in Queensland, and more broadly across Australia,” Shields said.

“We are also pleased to announce that with the commencement of Quest Southport, Ascott Australia has 10 properties and approximately 850 apartments under development across three brands and four states.

“We expect to announce further signings and properties commencing construction during Q3 2024.”
