More than AU$24 million has been invested into refurbishment projects in the Travel + Leisure portfolio this year, part of a package totalling more than AU$100 million over the past five years.
Properties across the Travel + Leisure portfolio have undergone AU$24 million worth of refurbishment this year, part of a AU$105 million investment across the last five years.
Travel + Leisure Co. is the world’s leading membership and leisure travel company. It is the largest vacation ownership business globally and, in Asia Pacific, develops three clubs under the Club Wyndham and Accor Vacation Club brands, while managing 89 properties, most of which incorporate vacation ownership.
An advantage of vacation ownership is members pay levies each year, which contribute to resort running costs, staffing, member services and refurbishment. Members see their properties improve over the years they stay and enjoy fresh, contemporary accommodation every time.
This year’s projects included:
- An almost $2 million “Hamptons-style” refurbishment of 24 holiday apartments and hotel rooms at Ramada by Wyndham Marcoola Beach designed to have a contemporary feel while paying tribute to the resort’s history as a haven for the famous
- An extensive $3.2 million refurbishment of all 60 apartments completed at Club Wyndham Coffs Harbour, inspired by the region’s laidback lifestyle and nearby Charlesworth Bay Beach
- A nearly $2 million renewal of The Sebel Creswick Forest Resort’s 18 two-bedroom apartments with a “contemporary country” theme featuring stone fireplaces and living room batten walls
- Conclusion of a nearly $3 million refurbishment of all 100 apartments at Club Wyndham Kirra Beach, inspired by its position overlooking the ocean
Travel + Leisure Co. also rolled out projects in Perth, Sydney, Hunter Valley and Busselton, and has a project planned in Nagano, Japan.
Vacation ownership levies additionally support common area upgrades. Common areas at Club Wyndham Wanaka and Wyndham Hotel Melbourne were updated in recent refurbishments, while a new pickleball court has been added at Ramada Resort by Wyndham Golden Beach.
Refurbishments ensure resorts maintain their aesthetic and deliver quality experiences for guests, who return year after year. To find out how vacation ownership could work at your property, please contact hoteldevelopment@travelandleisure.com.
