Raffe Hotels and Resorts, a family-owned business with over 50 years in the Fiji market, has been honoured with the Fiji Business Excellence Prize Level Award for 2024 – the highest level of national recognition for performance excellence.
The award, which recognises organisations that demonstrate exceptional commitment to continuous improvement, innovation, and quality in their operations, which includes Plantation Island Resort, adults-only Lomani Island Resort and Spa, and Fiji Gateway Hotel.
“This accomplishment is a tribute to our team’s dedication to creating meaningful experiences for our guests, all while embodying our core values of integrity, teamwork, and respect,” said Raffe Hotel and Resorts CEO, Lee Pearce.

The award was presented by His Excellency, the President of Fiji, Ratu Wiliame Katonivere.
“I am overjoyed to share the news that Raffe Hotels and Resorts has been awarded this exceptional recognition,” said Raffe Hotel and Resorts Group Manager of Learning, Capability and Quality Assurance, Atlaab Khan, who accepted the award.

Khan praised team members and commended their spirit of innovation and collaborative efforts, and referenced the strong leadership within the organization.
“Our CEO, Mr. Lee Pearce, has been an exceptional guiding force, providing the vision and resilience that have shaped our path to excellence,” he said.
This year, the company’s Fiji Gateway Hotel commenced a two-storey expansion to meet the growing demand of transiting travellers, working to add 47 new guest rooms and suites by October 2025.
Earlier this year, Plantation Island Resort launched the UNESCO-endorsed BULA Reef nursery in collaboration with Corals for Conservation and opened the new Jungle Water Park with planned upgrades to pool areas, dining, and rooms.
Lomani Island Resort and Spa is on schedule to open its new immersive wellness offering, Lomani Spa, in December.
