Premier of South Australia, the Hon. Peter Malinauskas MP, has welcomed the arrival of Crowne Plaza Adelaide Mawson Lakes and The Heroic development, in an official ribbon cutting ceremony this week.
The multi-year project which attracted an investment of over $70 million by hotel owners, Pelligra and One7, marks IHG Hotels and Resorts’ fifth branded hotel to open in Adelaide.
The opening ceremony was also attended by Minister for Tourism and Multicultural Affairs, The Hon Zoe Bettison MP; Pelligra Chairman Ross Pelligra; Pelligra CEO Paul Pelligra; IHG Hotels and Resorts Managing Director, Australasia & Pacific, Matt Tripolone; City of Salisbury Mayor Gillian Aldridge OAM; City of Playford Mayor Glenn Docherty; One7 Managing Director, Bruno Muscatello, and Director Christopher Bivone; and Crowne Plaza Adelaide Mawson Lakes.

A key economic hub in northern Adelaide, Mawson Lakes has welcomed a collection of world-class corporate, defence and educational organisations who have established themselves in the region.

“What was once deemed unfeasible has been reimagined and transformed into a thriving, world-class asset, delivering the same scale with significant enhancements that amplify its impact and long-term value.
“More than just bricks and mortar, this development is a catalyst for economic growth, creating at least 350 new jobs across part-time, full-time roles, contractors, and trainees.
