Outrigger Kona Resort and Spa has introduced a new suite and enhanced club lounge as part of its US$60 million transformation.

The all-new Royal Huaka‘i Suite and transformed Voyager 47 Club Lounge bring a modern island design that celebrates the rich history of Keauhou – meaning “New Current” or “New Era”.

Spanning nearly 2,500 square feet, The Royal Huaka‘i Suite is a one-bedroom, two-bath accommodation with a spacious open-concept living area and well-appointed kitchenette, perched above Keauhou Bay, the birthplace of King Kamehameha III.

The suite features three private balconies with panoramic ocean views.

The spa-inspired main bathroom features a deep soaking tub, glass-enclosed shower and double vanity.

“Huaka‘i in Hawaiian means trip, voyage, or journey and we chose it to reflect the deep history of exploration in this area while also welcoming our guests as they begin their own journey with us,” said  Outrigger Kona Resort and Spa Director of Cultural Experiences, Nani Kupihe.

“The Royal Huaka‘i Suite is the perfect name for this room because it celebrates how close we are to the birthplace of King Kamehameha III and honours the voyaging heritage of Keauhou Bay.”

Guests also receive complimentary access to the newly enhanced Voyager 47 Club Lounge, a welcoming space for both relaxation and connection with dedicated social and meeting areas, along with a children’s play zone

“The Royal Huaka‘i Suite and Voyager 47 Club Lounge were designed to offer guests a deeper connection to the beauty and culture of Keauhou Bay,” said Outrigger Kona Resort and Spa General Manager, Geoff Pearson.

“Whether unwinding on a private lanai with panoramic ocean views or starting the day with a locally inspired breakfast at Voyager 47, we want every moment to feel effortless and enriching.

“This revitalization allows us to provide an elevated yet welcoming experience—perfect for celebrating life’s special moments, indulging in a serene retreat, or simply embracing the spirit of aloha.”
