Accor welcomed over 140 franchise partners, hotel general managers, industry leaders, and executives for its 2025 Pacific Franchise Conference this week, to discuss industry performance insights, commercial strategies, investment opportunities and operational excellence.
Hosted at Pullman Auckland from March 25-27, the event included insights from STR on market performance, an in-depth look at Accor’s brand and commercial strategy, and a panel on hotel investment trends.
Accor currently has 122 franchised properties in Australia and 11 in New Zealand and continues to gain momentum in the market with a focus on strategic growth, innovative brand conversions, and tailored support for franchise partners.
“The energy and engagement at this year’s conference were a testament to the strength of Accor’s franchise network in the Pacific,” said Accor’s Chief Executive Officer for Premium, Midscale & Economy Division in the Middle East, Africa, Asia and the Pacific, Duncan O’Rourke.

Accor’s Chief Operating Officer for Premium, Midscale & Economy in the Pacific, Adrian Williams, said the evolution of Accor’s franchise model in the region positions it well to adapt to changing market conditions.
“Through continuous investment, dedicated performance managers, and our award-winning loyalty program, ALL, we are empowering hoteliers to accelerate their growth while maintaining their unique identity,” he said.
“Our commitment to franchisee success is evident in the fact that 50% of our existing franchisees now own multiple hotels within the Accor network.”
During the conference, a Franchisee Owner Panel invited leading hoteliers to share their experiences, challenges, and success stories.
Accor’s Vice President Franchise, Pacific, Danesh Bamji, noted that the franchising landscape is evolving rapidly, with high demand for conversions.
“As demand for conversions grows, we are focused on delivering measurable value through procurement efficiencies, ESG advantages, and immediate performance uplift,” he said.
“Our diverse portfolio of conversion-friendly brands provides a seamless way to modernise properties and meet the changing expectations of today’s travellers.”
Accor’s Chief Commercial Officer for Premium, Midscale & Economy Division in the Middle East, Africa, Asia, and the Pacific, Kerry Healy, who delivered a keynote presentation, emphasised the commercial opportunities for hoteliers.
“By combining data-driven insights, cutting-edge commercial strategies, and the strength of our globally recognised brands, we are empowering hoteliers to drive long-term success,” she said.
“It was inspiring to see the passion and innovation within our franchise network, and we remain dedicated to fostering growth, performance, and excellence across the Pacific.”
During a gala dinner at Pullman Auckland, the 2025 Pacific Franchise Awards honoured hotels and individuals who have demonstrated exceptional performance, innovation, and guest experience across Accor’s franchise network.
Novotel New Plymouth claimed the Limitless Performance Award; Ayers Rock Resorts took home the Pioneering Mindset Award; Peppers Hills Lodge received the Art of Hospitality Award; while Ibis Styles The Entrance earned the Responsible Hospitality Award. The Hotel Renovation of the Year Award went to Novotel Brighton Beach, while Mercure Sydney was named Hotel of the Year.
