IHG Hotels & Resorts is debuting its latest luxury hotel for Auckland, set to anchor the One Queen Street development in Commercial Bay from 30 January 2024.
IHG Hotels & Resorts (IHG) and Precinct Properties are primed to open the luxurious InterContinental Auckland, debuting the global brand at the halo address of One Queen Street on the City of Sail’s waterfront from 30 January 2024.
InterContinental Auckland is set to offer 139 stunning guest rooms and suites, the majority of which boast scenic water views through floor-to-ceiling windows. This includes renowned Club InterContinental rooms that grant access to the exclusive Club InterContinental lounge (opening in June 2024), catering to guests desiring a premium and secluded experience.
A luxury haven overlooking the Waitematā Harbour, InterContinental Auckland will invite guests to immerse themselves in the city’s rich history, connect with the tapestry of local culture, art, and cuisine, and indulge at Commercial Bay’s captivating precinct. The hotel will feature a thoughtfully curated art collection that prioritises local and Iwi artists, and each room displays an extraordinary Whariki (woven panel).
In partnership with internationally renowned chef, Gareth Stewart, the hotel will offer up the restaurant and bar Advieh, offering a contemporary twist on Middle Eastern-inspired cuisine whilst championing New Zealand’s finest produce.
The hotel will feature a 24-hour fitness centre, direct access to Commercial Bay which features premium retail outlets, as well as a rooftop bar on level 21 to come later in the year, independently owned by renowned hospitality experts, Five Fellas.
