The inaugural AHICE Fiji Islands Investment in Tourism Summit kicked off on Wednesday July 3, with over 300 hotel industry executives expected in attendance.

Presented by Fiji Airways and hosted by HM Magazine, the event kicked off with networking events at the new Crowne Plaza Fiji Nadi Bay Resort and Spa and Sheraton Fiji Resort and Spa on Wednesday before a full day of conference sessions at the Sofitel Fiji Resort and Spa on Thursday.

A packed program will feature 45 speakers across keynote presentations, panel sessions and interviews as well as a number of engaging networking events.

Accor Pacific Chief Operating Officer, Adrian Williams, who will speaking at the conference on Thursday, told HM that the Fijian market presents an exciting opportunity.

“The Fiji market has been super strong, there’s been really strong growth this year about a nine-point growth on RevPAR, that shows that there is a still a great appetite for Australians for New Zealanders and Americans in particular to travel to Fiji and it’s a great opportunity to really showcase a big holiday experience,” Williams told HM ahead of the conference.

The event has garnered the support of more than 35 major industry partners.

Tourism Fiji and Investment Fiji have thrown their support behind the event as co-hosts, while major hotel operators Accor, IHG Hotels and Resorts, Marriott International, alongside leading membership and travel company, Travel and Leisure Co., and Fijian conglomerate Tappoo have joined as Principal Partners of the event.
